Tobacco Cessation Centre
Gian Sagar Dental College & Hospital also has a well established Tobacco Cessation Centre. In this centre, the house surgeons are trained to counsel tobacco users. This centre raises awareness on the risk posed by tobacco chewing, smoking and second-hand smoke exposure. Patients are counselled and are informed about the ill effects of tobacco on the oral and general health of the people. Patients are registered, monitored, and records are maintained for their follow up on improvement. On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day i.e. 31st May, the centre conducts seminars and lectures to spread the awareness.

Detailed records are maintained to track their progress and improvement over time.
Regular follow-up sessions are conducted to provide ongoing support and encouragement.
Awareness Initiatives
On World No Tobacco Day (31st May), the centre organizes seminars, lectures, and awareness programs to educate the community about tobacco-related health risks. These initiatives aim to motivate individuals to quit tobacco and promote tobacco-free living.
