Department of Medicine GSMCH Ram Nagar, Distt. Patiala provides curative medical services to the people of the area.
Department treats all the acute and chronic medical conditions like infections, degenerative diseases, nutritional deficiency diseases, various malignant disease ( leukemias, lymphomas), endocrinal diseases like diabetes & thyroid conditions, respiratory conditions, kidney diseases and Heart ailments etc.
In adition department runs teaching programme for undergraduate MBBS students.

Department of Surgery
Brief summary of services being provided by Surgery Department.
1. The department runs OPD from 9 am to 4 pm and provides emergency services for 24 hours. |
2. Department has experienced doctors and equipment to perform all surgical and urological procedures. |
3. Surgical treatment for gall stones, hernia, appendicitis , breast disease, renal stone, prostate, etc is done here. |
4. The department is equipped to perform laparoscopic and endourology procedures. |
5. The hospital has fully equipped ICU for serious patients. |

Department of Dermatology
Brief summary of services being provided by Dermatology Department:-
The department of Dermatology offers solution for various dermatological diseases, sexually transmitted diseases and leprosy. The department has Dr. Arun Kumar Verma and Dr. Sumeet Pal in its faculty, ensuring smooth functioning of the department. Besides OPD consultation, it also has in patient facility. The facility for various dermatological and cosmetic dermatologic procedures is available like RF cautery, chemical cautery, corn dressing, needle curettage, intralesional injection, skin biopsy, Mole removal, chemical peeling and lontophoresis. The department is equipped with laser for hair removal. Dermaroller procedure for acne scarring and punch grafting for vitiligo is also carried out. A skin lab for KOH, tissue smear, gram stain, Giemsa stain and slit skin smear is part of the OPD complex.
Department of Blood Centre
Fully functional Blood Centre with all facilities open 24x7. All blood components are available with us like whole blood, packed red blood cell (PRBC), platelet concentrate, (PC), Fresh Frozen Plasma (FFP) and cryoprecipitate. State of art equipment for preparing single donor platelets (SDP) is in place. Highly trained and friendly staff is recruited to make your experience good. Department of ENT has full fledged functioning unit to assist students in ensuring overall exposure in the subject.
Infrastructure includes sound proof audiometry room, audiology clinic, vertigo clinic, separate OPD’s for all faculty members in the OPD complex.
Minor procedures like laryngoscopy, nasal endoscopy, ear cleaning, incision and drainage, frenulectomy etc are all done in minor OT in ENT OPD.
OT is well equipped with operating microscope and endoscopy unit.
Regular Ear, Nose and throat surgeries like FESS, Tympanoplasty, Septoplasty, MLS, Tonsillectomy, Adenoidectomy, thyroid surgeries and parotid surgeries are performed
